
Four Silver Knights Selected to All-MASL Teams

Four Silver Knights players were named to various All-MASL teams this season. Joey Tavernese was selected to the All-MASL 2nd team, Darren Toby was selected to the All-MASL 3rd team, Slavisa Ubiparipovic received an All-MASL honorable mention, and Liam Callahan received an All-MASL rookie honorable mention.
Tavernese had a historic season with the Silver Knights. He set new single season Silver Knights records in points (54) and assists (26). Tavernese also led all Syracuse players in goals (28). He set new career highs in all three statistical categories this season as well. Taverense also ranked among the league leaders in the regular season. He finished 5th in points, tied for 7th in goals, and 3rd in assists. Tavernese was named the Silver Knights' Offensive MVP at the end of the season.
Toby set a new career high in blocked shots this season with 34 blocks. His previous high in a single season was 19 blocked shots. Toby also tied his career high in goals with 6. He finished tied for third in the MASL in blocked shots.
Ubiparipovic made history as the first Silver Knights player to reach 200 career regular season points with Syracuse. He set a new career high in goals with 23. The Bosnian now has 116 career goals and 99 career assists with the Silver Knights. He finished second on the team behind Tavernese in goals, assists (16) and points (39).
Callahan played in all 22 games in his rookie season with the Silver Knights. He scored five goals and recorded two assists.
The Silver Knights finished the regular season at 13-9 and in 2nd place in the MASL Eastern Division. Syracuse was eliminated in the Eastern Division Finals of the Ron Newman Cup Playoffs by the Baltimore Blast.
