San Angelo Colts News Release
San Angelo, Texas - The Colts released two players Saturday afternoon, as right-handed pitcher Caleb Rodgers and infielder Eddie Browne were cut loose. Browne was on the active roster, while Rodgers was on the inactive list.
Browne, who was signed on Monday before San Angelo made a roadtrip to Harlingen, hit .133 (2-15) in five games. Before coming to the Colts, he played for the Ruidoso Osos of the Pecos League. He played primarily second base, as the injury to Landon Camp forced second baseman Mark Ramos to move to shortstop.
Rodgers is a five year Colts veteran, who was on and off the active roster through the season's first two weeks, was 0-1 with a 6.35 ERA in three games out of the bullpen. In five years, he appeared in 33 games for the Colts and went 6-5.
