
Colts' Pither Signs with NHL's Flyers

Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts are proud to announce today that forward Luke Pither has been signed by the Philadelphia Flyers of the NHL.
Pither was un-drafted but spent time at New York Rangers training camp in the fall of 2009. He is in his over-age season in the OHL and is playing on his fourth team in five years.
The Burketon, Ontario native leads the Colts in points with 35 goals and 56 assists through 64 games played. He is first in the Eastern Conference in points and third in the league with 91.
Pither has set a new personal best in points and has tied his career best in goals with 35, he is also tied for fourth with teammate Bryan Cameron for most power play goals in the league with 18.
Pither now becomes the ninth member of the Barrie Colts who has been drafted or signed by an NHL club.
