Colorado Rapids and Sporting KC Reschedule Postponed Match for October 21

The Colorado Rapids have announced that Saturday's regular season match against Sporting Kansas City has been rescheduled by Major League Soccer and will now be played on Wednesday, October 21 at 6:30 p.m. MT at Sporting Park.
The match was delayed for nearly an hour and a half due to heavy rain and lightning, before the postponement was officially announced just before 9 p.m. local time (CT).
Saturday's match was the first time a Colorado Rapids game has been postponed since their 2013 Home Opener against the Philadelphia Union at Dick's Sporting Goods Park due to severe weather conditions in the Denver area.
The teams are scheduled to face one another three times this season after only meeting once during the 2014 campaign. The dates:
- Saturday, June 27 at Sporting Park (6:30 p.m. MT)
- Saturday, August 29 at Dick's Sporting Goods Park (7:00 p.m. MT)
- Wednesday, October 21 at Sporting Park (6:30 p.m. MT)
