
Colorado Ice Sign Colorado State Standout

(Fort Collins, CO) - The Colorado ICE Indoor Football team has signed Colorado State University (CSU) Cornerback Nick Oppenneer. Oppenneer is coming to the ICE after a stand out career with the Rams. In his senior (2009) season with the Rams Oppenneer had 63 tackles and four interceptions, running one back for a 97 yard touchdown.
In addition to signing Oppenneer the Colorado ICE have signed Dominic Applehans, Defensive End from Mesa State University. Applehans was selected to the Second Team Defense for the 2009 All-RMAC Football Teams.
Tyrone Lewis Offensive Linemen from Fort Hays State University and an Alameda High School graduate joins the ICE after his senior season with the Tigers and Kicker Rocky Stevens returns to the Colorado ICE for his first game of the 2010 season.
The Colorado ICE opponent for this week is the Tri-Cities Fever (3-5) of the Pacific North Division. This is the first meeting between the two teams with this being Tri-Cities first season in the IFL. The game is Saturday, May 15th and starts at 7:00pm MTN.
