Chicago Slaughter News Release
HOFFMAN ESTATES - The Chicago Slaughter (4-4), the premier indoor football team in the Chicagoland area, will hit the road this weekend to battle against the Bloomington Extreme (4-5). Friday night's match-up will be the third meeting for these Central North Division rivals. Steve McMichael's Slaughter fell to the Extreme during their first meeting earlier in the season with a 27-26 loss at home as a result of a missed extra point to tie the game at Sears Centre Arena. The Slaughter came back to defeat the Extreme during their second meeting in April with a high octane, high scoring rematch. Friday night will be the third and final meeting between these two rivals who are both vying for a playoff spot.
The Slaughter is currently in second place behind the Green Bay Blizzard in the IFL's United Conference Central North Division with the Bloomington Extreme just one game back sitting in the third place. This weekend's match-up sets the stage for the road to the post-season.
Kickoff for the Slaughter road game against the Bloomington Extreme is set for 7:05 p.m. this Friday, May 14th. The Slaughter will face Green Bay at home the following weekend at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, May 22nd, at the Sears Centre Arena. For more information or for tickets to the May 22nd game, please call the team office at (847) 310-3190 or visit the team website at www.ChicagoSlaughter.com.
