Colorado Eagles News Release
FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced today that they have donated $10,000 to ensure that the water features at Inspiration Playground in Spring Canyon Park in Fort Collins will be turned back on this summer. As part of a budget cut, the City of Fort Collins had shut off the water features in multiple city parks as a way to decrease costs.
"The Colorado Eagles and our investors contributed over a quarter of a million dollars to help fund the initial construction of Inspiration Playground and we feel that this additional donation is well worth the cost to keep the park at its potential," said Eagles CEO Martin Lind. "The water features at Inspiration Playground are specifically important because they were designed with the interest of children with special needs in mind as a key part of the playground."
Lind continued, "While we are more than willing to help turn the water back on at Inspiration Playground this summer, we hope that the city can fit the feature into its budget next year -- and well into the future -- so that the park can be enjoyed to its fullest potential."
