
Bucks Players to Raise Money in Tournament

LAREDO, TX- Laredo Bucks players are teaming up to help raise money for Real Life Therapeutic Center this weekend in a summer hockey tournament. Current and former Bucks players, along with front office staff members will team up to defend their championship at the Sixth Annual Alamo City Classic at the Northwoods Ice Center in San Antonio on June 18th-20th.
The Bucks players, who's team name is the "Laredo Chili Peppers", will auction off the special tournament jersey's June 26th at 7pm at Buckets Bar and Grill with all of the proceeds benefitting Real Life Therapeutic Center. Last summer Bucks players raised $3,120 for WINGS auctioning their championship "Keggers" jerseys from the same tournament.
Bucks players on the tournament roster are Jeff Bes, Adam Rivet, Paul Elliott and Igor Agarunov, along with former Bucks players Serge Dube, Steve Weidlich and James Hiebert, with Bucks Majority Owner Glenn Hart and equipment manager Matt Brayfield rounding out the team. The tournament team will once again be coached by Bucks play-by-play announcer Bryan Benway, along with Beto Oliveros with Bobby Moore serving as the athletic trainer.
"We held a successful event like this last summer and we want to do it again, this time for the Therapeutic Riding Center", said Bes. "All of the money that we raise from the jersey auction will stay right here in Laredo."
The tournament team, who is sponsored by 6-U Cattle Co., Zapata County Sheriff Sigi Gonzalez Jr. and Carmen Gonzalez, Buckets Bar and Grill and Canadian Cut Yard Care, will play their first tournament game Friday night (June 18th) at 9:45pm and continue play on Saturday.
