
Colonials Zapped by Quebec 5-1

Quebec, QC - The Quebec Capitales hit three consecutive homeruns in the first inning and never looked back to go on beat the Pittsfield Colonials 5-1 at Stade Municipal in Quebec City on Sunday afternoon.
Colonials' starter David Qualben (4-7) suffered the loss going six innings and allowing five runs on nine hits to Quebec. Reliever Reymond Cruz struck-out five of the seven batters he faced out of the bullpen in the seventh and eighth innings.
Quebec starting pitcher Troy Cate (4-3) went seven shutout innings, striking-out five, en route to the victory.
Capitales' Sebastein Boucher (1-for-3, HR, 2 RBI), Pierre-Luc LaForest (1-for-4, HR), and Michael Thompson (1-for-4, HR) popped three consecutive homers in the first inning to give the Caps a 4-0 lead. Second baseman Josh Colafemina (1-for-4, 2B, RBI) added a run scoring double while shortstop Ivan Naccaratta (3-for-5) notched three singles.
The Colonials will take on the Capitales again on Wednesday night at Stade Municipal when Kyle Zaleski (7-4) takes the hill against Quebec's Matthew Rusch (10-1) at 7:05pm.
