New Jersey 9, Brockton 6 (11 innings)

After scoring the go-ahead run in the top of the 11th inning, New Jersey got some insurance in the form of a three-run blast off by C Angel Flores to secure a 9-6 win over Brockton. The teams combined for 33 total hits in the contest with five players collecting three or more apiece. Flores drove in a total of four for the Jackals with a 4-for-6 effort while New Jersey 1B Jabe Bergeron went 3-for-5 with a homer, two RBI, and four runs scored. RF Carlos Sosa also finished 4-for-6 and scored two runs. New Jersey reliever Edward Rodriguez picked up the win with two strong innings of work in which he struck out four batters and surrendered just one hit.

Worcester 7, Sussex 4

Worcester scored seven times in the middle innings to top Sussex by a score of 7-4. The Tornadoes used a balanced offensive attack that saw seven of nine starters collect a hit. RF Billy Cather and 1B Chris Collabello each finished with three hits and a RBI. DH Nick Salotti homered for Worcester, his eighth of the season, and Rick Asadoorian pitched a perfect ninth inning for his seventh save. Sussex 1B Chris Sanchez and 3B Nick Giarraputo each homered in the loss.

Quebec 5, Pittsfield 1

Quebec got off to a fast start with four runs in the opening frame and cruised past Pittsfield by a 5-1 final. CF Sebastien Boucher, 1B Pete LaForest, and 3B Michael Thompson each homered for the Capitales and DH Alex Nunez finished 3-for-3. Quebec starter Troy Cate pitched seven scoreless innings and struckout five while allowing just four hits. He improved to 4-3 with the win. Pittsfield starter David Qualben allowed five earned runs on nine hits in six innings of work. He dropped to 4-7 with the loss.
