
Colonials Sign RB David Pittman; Release OL Cliff Louis

The Hartford Colonials signed former NFL defensive back David Pittman and released offensive lineman Cliff Louis.
Pittman, a cornerback, was a third-round pick (87th overall) out of Northwestern State (La.) by the Ravens in 2006. He played seven games for Baltimore in 2007, registering 10 tackles and two interceptions. He also spent time with the Saints and Ravens in 2008.
Last season, Pittman (5-11, 182) played for the New York Sentinels of the UFL. The Steelers signed him in February and he remained with the team until being released at the end of training camp.
The Colonials (1-4) play Saturday, Oct. 30, against the Sacramento Mountain Lions in Hornet Stadium. The kickoff is 11 pm.
