Omaha Nighthawks News Release

OMAHA, NE - Tuesday, October 26, 2010-The Omaha Nighthawks announced the new wristband system for alcoholic beverages effective for all home games, starting with this Thursday's 7 p.m. contest against the Las Vegas Locos.

Individuals who are 21 and over and wish to purchase alcoholic beverages will be required to wear a special wristband handed out at Rosenblatt Stadium. No one without a wristband will be allowed to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages.

Fans will have to show their ID at one of three stations located around the stadium to receive a wristband - the front entrance, outside left field or outside right field. After putting on the wristbands, fans will no longer have to show their ID at the time of purchase in the stadium. This should help move concession lines more quickly.

As always, the parking lots open four hours prior to kickoff (3 p.m.), and stadium gates open two hours prior to kickoff (5 p.m.). Fans that are 21 and over are strongly encouraged to get wristbands as early as possible to avoid long lines. Wristbands can be picked up before the stadium gates open.

In addition to the new wristband policy, there will no longer be a public open beer garden in the pavilion in the fan fest area. These changes will help reinforce drinking responsibly and promote an enjoyable atmosphere for fans of all ages.
