Colonials Sign WR White
EAST HARTFORD, CT - The Hartford Colonials signed wide receiver Markee White to a contract for the 2011 United Football League season. Terms were not disclosed. The Colonials also released receiver Syndric Steptoe.
White, a native of Long Beach, Calif., had a team-high 26 receptions with the Colonials last year and 304 receiving yards with two touchdowns. Only three receivers in the UFL had more catches in 2010.

The Colonials will hold mini-camp July 12-14 with sessions scheduled from 9-11 am at Middletown High School and 3-5 pm at Sage Park in Berlin. Training camp will be held at Sage Park from July 15 to Aug. 6.
The Colonials kick off the 2011 UFL season Aug. 13 against the Virginia Destroyers at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex. The home opener is Aug. 27 against the Sacramento Mountain Lions. For more information, please visit www.hartfordcolonials.com.
