Little Falls, NJ - The Pittsfield Colonials upended the New Jersey Jackals 10-4 at Yogi Berra Stadium on Tuesday Night.
Colonials starting pitcher Miguel Flores (9-4) delivered six and two-thirds innings of work, allowing one run on four hits while striking-out six en route to his team leading ninth victory.
Pittsfield second baseman Danny Bomback (4-for-5, 2 2B, RBI) enjoyed a four hit evening to lead the Colonials at the plate. Shortstop Matt Nandin (3-for-4, 2 RBI) knocked in a pair on three hits, while both Angel Molina (1-for-5, 2 RBI) and Dan Carte (1-for-3, 2 RBI) each added a pair of RBIs.
Jackals' starter Isaac Pavlik (7-6) suffered his third loss of the season against the Colonials, giving-up six runs over six innings or work. Reliever Mike Pontius was tagged for three runs (two earned) in one inning out of the bullpen.
Jackals' left fielder Jeff Grose (2-for-2, RBI) picked up a pinch-hit RBI single in the seventh inning and ended the night a perfect 2-for-2. First baseman Jabe Bergeron (1-for-4, 2B, RBI) chipped in with an RBI double.
The Colonials will complete their seven game road trip with game three against the Jackals on Wednesday night at 7:05pm when lefty Jonny Venters (2-4) goes up against New Jersey's Chris Vasami (3-0).
