
College Park Defeats G League Ignite 100-81 in Front of Sellout Crowd, Secures Third Straight Victory

College Park, Georgia. - The College Park Skyhawks (15-10) defeated the G League Ignite (2-25) 100-81 in front of the fourth sold-out crowd at Gateway Center Arena (3,205), tying the franchise record for most sellouts in a season.
College Park forced 21 Ignite turnovers, marking the second straight game and third game out of the last four the Skyhawks have forced 20-or-more turnovers.
Chris Silva was responsible for four of those turnovers, swiping a career-high four steals, while adding team-highs of 22 points, eight rebounds, six assists and two blocks in 35 minutes.
It marked Silva's 11th 20+ point game of the season and his second 20-point game in a row.
Jordan Bowden continued his red-hot shooting, netting 18 points behind 5-9 from beyond the arc. Since joining the Skyhawks on Feb. 12, Bowden is shooting at a .600% clip from deep (30-50 3FGM).
Rob Baker (15 points) and AJ Griffin (15 points) led the Skyhawks bench, who outscored the Ignite's bench 43-21.
After trailing by as many as seven in the first quarter, College Park took control of the game in the second, ending the quarter with a 26-15 advantage behind a 15-2 run, with Miles Norris netting seven of those 15 points.
After pushing the lead to as much as 18 points in the third, the Ignite would cut the lead to as little as five with 7:51 to go in the fourth quarter behind a stretch of eight points from Michael Frazier II.
College Park would close out the game behind 12 fourth quarter points from Silva, keeping a double-digit lead for the final 6:32.
It marked the Skyhawks' third straight win and fourth straight at Gateway Center Arena, pushing their regular season home record to 8-3.
The Ignite were led by Matas Buzelis, who poured in 15 points while collecting team-highs of 11 rebounds, seven assists and four blocks in 37 minutes.
The Skyhawks hold a 15-10 record heading into the final month of the regular season, sitting at fifth place in the East with nine games remaining, six of which are at home in College Park.
College Park will take on the first-place Delaware Blue Coats on Mar. 5 at 7pm, followed by a home back-to-back with the second-place Osceola Magic on Mar. 8 at 7pm and Mar. 9 at 6:30pm. Fans can visit cpskyhawks.com to secure their seats now.
