BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - E.J. Liddell's 35 points led the Birmingham Squadron, NBA G League affiliate of the New Orleans Pelicans, to a 125-114 Sunday afternoon victory over the Capital City Go-Go at Sports and Entertainment Arena.
Four of Birmingham's five starters, Liddell, Dereon Seabron (24), Jalen Crutcher (24) and Malcolm Hill (23), scored at least 23 points on the day, while Landers Nolley II registered 11 from the bench.
As a team, Birmingham (12-13) shot 49% from the field and 40.6% from behind the three-point line.
Hamidou Diallo paced Capital City (15-10) with 23 points and Jake Stephens posted a double-double off the Go-Go bench with 15 points and 10 boards.
The Squadron return home to host the Greensboro Swarm for the first time on Friday night at 7 p.m. at Legacy Arena at the BJCC. The game can be seen locally on My68 or nationally on NBAGLeague.com.
