
Coco Blalock named Arena Football League\'s Baby Ruth Real Deal Offensive Player of the Week

Las Vegas, NV , June 1, 2004 â Las Vegas Gladiators' wide receiver Coco Blalock has been named the Arena Football League's Baby Ruth Real Deal Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in leading the Gladiators to a 64-51 win over the Columbus Destroyers on Sunday in Las Vegas.
Blalock accounted for six Gladiator touchdowns and 225 all-purpose yards in the Gladiators final home contest of the regular season. Playing against his former team, Blalock caught eight passes for 147 yards and five touchdowns, added a rushing touchdown and totaled 74 yards in kick returns.
A three-year veteran of the Arena Football League, this is the second time Blalock has garnered AFL Player of the Week honors. He was honored as the Army Ironman of the Week in week 12.
In addition to Blalock, other player of the week honors included Arizona Rattlers OL/DL Bryan Henderson (ADT Defensive Player of the Week) and Colorado Crush WR/DB Willis Marshall (Army Ironman of the Week).
