The Blue Coats took a nine-point lead into halftime and 12-point lead into the fourth quarter. The Herd trimmed their deficit to one with just under five minutes to go, but Delaware closed out the game with a 14-3 run to secure the victory.

"The most important thing tonight was 'what we did in practice, carry it over to the game,'" head coach Mike Longabardi said. "Everybody contributed, but I thought Baze [Darius Bazley] and Jeff Dowtin set the tone."

Up next for Delaware is a rematch with Wisconsin at Chase Fieldhouse on Saturday, Jan. 27. Tipoff for Star Wars Night, a benefit for Nemours Children's Health, is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
