Delaware Blue Coats News Release
WILMINGTON - The Delaware Blue Coats (4-2), the NBA G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, defeated the Greensboro Swarm (3-4), 106-94 on Monday afternoon at Chase Fieldhouse. Delaware has won four straight games and remains unbeaten at home this season. Six Blue Coats scored in double figures in the win.
Paul Reed, on assignment from the 76ers, led the Blue Coats with 28 points, 14 rebounds and 3 assists. Delaware's Haywood Highsmith dropped 15 points (5-11 FG, 5-10 3FG) and 5 rebounds.
Aaron Henry posted 14 points and 5 rebounds for the Blue Coats. Shamorie Ponds chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, and a team-high plus-19 rating.
Braxton Key notched 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists for the Blue Coats. Delaware's Jared Brownridge added 10 points and 2 assists in the win.
The Blue Coats got out to a quick start, winning the first quarter 29-14. Delaware held the Swarm to 94 points and 41% shooting, marking the first time this regular season the Blue Coats have held an opponent under 100 points.
Cameron McGriff led the Swarm with 23 points (8-12 FG, 4-6 3FG, 2-2 FT) and 7 rebounds. Greensboro's Scottie Lewis added 14 points in a team-high 34 minutes.
