Coach K Become First All-Star Coach in Franchise History

BOISE, ID- January 12, 2004- Stampede Head Coach Larry Krystkowiak became the first head coach in franchise history to coach in an all-star game. Krystkowiak, who in his first season with the team, has been instrumental in turning around a franchise that won a total of 17 games last season and has posted a season best 25-31 record in the team's five year playing history.
"I am excited and honored to have been selected as one of the head coaches for this year's All-Star Classic. I am fortunate to have such a great team and am only a beneficiary of the success that our squad has accomplished," said Idaho Stampede Head Coach Larry Krystkowiak.
The 20th CBA All-Star Classic will be held on Tuesday, January 20, in Yakima, WA. Tip-off for the game is slated for 7:30 p.m. (PST). The head coaching positions were awarded to the teams with the highest quarter-point averages from all games played through January 10.
The Stampede currently ranks third in the CBA in scoring with 109.1 ppg, leads the league in three pointers made (210) and attempted (546), as well as assists (713). The team travels to Yakima, WA this Thursday to face the Sun Kings and will try to extend their win-streak to six games.
The Stampede will be back in the Idaho Center on Tuesday, January 27, to tip-off against the league leading Dakota Wizards at 7:10 p.m. Tickets for all remaining 11 home-games are still available for purchase.
