Ontario Clippers News Release
LOS ANGELES, CA - The Agua Caliente Clippers (4-3) snap a three-game losing streak, shooting down the Salt Lake City Stars (1-6), 130-97, at Staples Center on Monday afternoon.
Brandon Boston Jr., on assignment from the LA Clippers, scored a career-high 46 points for Agua Caliente, matching the NBA G League season-high set by Long Island's Cam Thomas nine days ago. Boston Jr. was efficient on offense, hitting 15 of his 20 field goal attempts (75 percent), including nine-of-12 from distance (75 percent). The Clippers were plus-39 with Boston Jr. on the court.
George King added 20 points and six rebounds for the Clippers while Moses Wright flirted with a double-double, recording nine points and twelve rebounds to go along with four assists and a season-high five blocks.
Malik Fitts, who spent last season with ACC, paced the way for Salt Lake City with 20 points and seven rebounds.
After dropping the last three games, Agua Caliente recorded their best shooting performance of the season, shooting 54.8 percent from the field for the game (46-for-84) and knocking down a season-high 17 three pointers in 31 attempts (54.8 percent) on their way to a season-best 130 points.
On the other end, Salt Lake City never got it going, trailing by 18 in the opening frame and by as much as 35 in the game. The Stars would finish the game shooting 39.6 percent from the field.
The Clippers looks to keep on rolling as they host Salt Lake City once again on Wednesday, December 1st. The game will be played at Staples Center with an 11:30 am PT tip-off.
