July 20, 2007, ALBANY, GA- The South Georgia Wildcats today announced the participants who will represent Clear Channel during pre-game activities Saturday night, July 21st, as the Wildcats host the Alabama Steeldogs at Cooper Tire Field.
The national Anthem will be presented by Kurt Baker, Program Director for B100 FM. The invocation will be delivered by Jackie Toye, Sales manager for WJIZ. Assisting with the coin toss will be Christian Herbert, the son of April Herbert, Sales Director for Clear Channel, and the Game Ball Delivery will done by Trinity Pike, daughter of Chris Pike, WJIZ Sales Manager, and Hunter Rowen, son of Wendy Rowen, Sales Manager for Magic 97. The Marine Corp Color Guard will be on hand as well to present the flag.
The Wildcats are ranked 5th in this week's af2 Coaches Poll, and they have a 4-1 record in the National Conference South Division. South Georgia is coming off a win against the Texas Copperheads last Saturday night, and though the Steeldogs are currently in a 6-game losing streak the importance of this division match-up couldn't be bigger. With a win, South Georgia takes one step closer to a division title.
