
Classen, Snowball Sign with Nashville

The Nashville Predators, NHL affiliate of the Milwaukee Admirals, announced today that the club has signed center Greg Classen and right wing Robert Snowball. In keeping with club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Classen spent last season with Assat Pori (Finland) after capturing the American Hockey League's Calder Cup in 2004 with the Admirals. During the 03-04 campaign, the 6-1, 198-pound centerman posted 45 points on 18 goals and 27 assists in 68 games with Milwaukee.
Classen ranked third on the Admirals in assists (28) and was recalled to Nashville three times in 2002-03. He registered NHL career-highs with the Predators in games played (55), goals (five), assists (six), points (11) and penalty minutes (30) in 2001-02. A native of Aylsham, Sask., Classen posted 17 points (7g-10a) in 90 career NHL games with Nashville from 2000-03.
Snowball spent last season with the Toledo Storm of the ECHL where he posted four goals and six assists (4g-6a=10pts) and 184 penalty minutes in 65 games. In 2003-04 the Markham, ONT native notched seven points (3g-4a) and 118 PIMs for the Roanoke Express.
The Admirals begin the 2005-06 regular season on Oct. 8 at Grand Rapids. The home opener will take place on Friday, Oct. 14 at 7:00 pm at the Bradley Center versus the Manitoba Moose. Fans can purchase season tickets by calling (414) 227-0550.
