SPOKANE, Wash. - LeDarious Clark and Omarlin Lopez both continued impressive early-season streaks as the Spokane Indians collected 12 hits on way to an 8-2 win over the Boise Hawks in front of 4,040 fans at Avista Stadium on Monday night. It was Hit & Win Night presented by Longhorn BBQ, KIX 96.1 and Coeur d'Alene Living Local.

Clark extended his hitting streak to 16 games with a double in the seventh inning. The streak is the longest a Spokane player has had since Royce Bolinger hit safely in 23-straight games in 2012. Clark finished the game 2-for-3 with two RBI, a walk, two stolen bases and an impressive catch in left field. The 12th-round 2015 draft pick leads the Northwest League in stolen bases (9) and is second in batting average (.406).

Lopez, coming on in relief for Indians starter Luke Lanphere in the fifth inning, tossed three scoreless frames in his longest outing of the season. The Domincan Republic native has thrown nine innings - all scoreless - while striking out seven and allowing just four base runners. Lanphere allowed two runs on six hits in his five innings of work to earn his first win. He sports a 2.40 ERA this season, which places him in the top eight of all qualifying Northwest League pitchers.

An error on Boise's catcher Wilkyns Jiminez broke the game open for Spokane in the seventh inning. An errant throw to third scored both Ti'Quan Forbes and Clark to push Spokane's lead to 5-2. A sacrifice fly from Jamie Potts scored Leon Byrd before the end of the inning.

Yeyson Yrizarri scored on a wild pitch and Clark collected his RBI to add insurance in the eighth. Kohsuke Tomita struck out two in a scoreless ninth to end the game.

Spokane continues its five-game series against the Boise Hawks tomorrow night, Tuesday, July 7th for Baseball Hat Giveaway presented by Pepsi, Arby's and The Inlander. First pitch is at 6:30.
