
Ciriaco & Fermin Transferred to Triple-A New Orleans

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Miami Marlins announced a series of transactions that impacts their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Suns roster prior to this evening's doubleheader with the Chattanooga Lookouts at AT&T Field in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Infielder Audy Ciriaco has been transferred from Jacksonville to Triple-A New Orleans. In 77 contests for the Suns this season, the native of the Dominican Republic compiled a .221 average with five homers and 26 RBI.
In a corresponding move, outfielder Alex Burg has been transferred to Jacksonville from Triple-A New Orleans. The 26-year-old in 12 contests with the Zephyrs this year owns a .300 clip (12-40), along with two homers and eight RBI.
The Marlins also announced Miguel Fermin has been transferred to Triple-A New Orleans from Jacksonville. Fermin was transferred to the Suns from High-A Jupiter on August 18 but did not pitch in a game for Jacksonville. In 15 appearances with the Hammerheads this year, the 28-year-old has compiled a 1-1 record and 1.54 ERA (4 ER in 23.1 IP).
In addition, catcher Taylor Krick has been reinstated from the seven-day Disabled List after recovering from a left shoulder contusion. Prior to his injury, the 25-year-old posted a .276 average (27-98), adding a homer and 16 RBI in 39 games with the Suns.
