The Ducks improved to 23-10-3-1 this season when scoring first in their 4-1 win March 23 over the Rochester Americans. ... The win gave the Ducks a 14-6-3-2 record against Central Division teams, including 7-2-2-1 at home. ... Cincinnati improved its record to 14-1-1-0 this season when scoring at least four goals. ... D Josh DeWolf's power-play goal March 22 against Rochester snapped a club record stretch of 10 consecutive games without a man-advantage goal (0-for-29). The club followed up with three power-play tallies the next night against the Americans. ... The penalty killing unit has been fabulous in recent action with the Ducks surrendering an opposition power-play goal in just two of their last 10 games (39-for-42). ... RW Steve Brule reached the 20-goal plateau for the seventh consecutive season with a goal March 22 vs. Rochester. He became the fourth different Cincinnati player to score 20-or-more goals this season, matching the club record for most 20-goal virtuosos in one season (1998-1999). ... Recently acquired RW Ben Guite is the son of former WHA Cincinnati Stinger Pierre Guite. The elder Guite played parts of two seasons with the Stingers from 1975-1977, scoring 30 goals and 32 assists for 62 points in 79 games. He had 20 goals and 44 points in 52 games playing right wing on the club's "French Connection" line with center Jacques Locas and left wing Claude Larose during the Stingers inaugural season in 1975-76. ... G Ilja Bryzgalov earned his 20th victory of the season in the win over Rochester to join Tom Askey (21 in 1998-1999) and Gregg Naumenko (20 in 2000-2001) as the only 20-game winners in franchise history. Bryzgalov, a second-round pick by Anaheim in 2000, became the first Cincinnati rookie to win 20 games since Reds' lefthander Tom Browning accomplished the feat in 1985. ... The Ducks begin a two-game road trip on Wednesday against the Houston Aeros. Cincinnati is 2-0-0-0 against Houston this season and 10-9-4-1 against West Division teams.
