Houston Aeros News Release
HOUSTON, TX - With only seven games left in the regular season, the Aeros are gearing up for their first-ever run at the Calder Cup. Tickets for the first two home games of the Western Conference Quarterfinals (Tickets D and E) are on sale beginning today at all Ticketmaster Outlets located at Fiesta's, Foley's or Wherehouse Music, by calling Ticketmaster at 713/629-3700 or by logging on to www.ticketmaster.com. Discount group tickets are available by calling the Aeros at 713/974-PUCK (7825).
The top ten teams in the conference advance to the playoffs, with the top six teams receiving a bye in the first round of post-season play. The Western Conference Quarterfinals is a best-of-five series, which will determine who will advance to the Conference Semifinal round of play. The Aeros are currently in sixth place in the Conference, and would face the Norfolk Admirals if the playoffs started today.
Teams seeded seventh through 10th will play a best-of-three Qualifying Round, with all games being played at the home of the higher seed. Should it become necessary for the Aeros to host a Qualifying Round series, tickets for those games (Games A, B and C) will go on sale at a later date.
PLAYOFF TICKET EXCHANGE POLICY: In the event of the Aeros hosting the Qualifying Round at the Compaq Center, Games A, B and C will go on sale as soon as possible. Those wishing to exchange previously purchased Games D and E tickets may do so AT THE POINT OF PURCHASE ONLY. Tickets purchased online at either www.aeros.com or www.tickemaster.com must be exchanged by phone by calling Ticketmaster at 713/629-3700. In the event that Games D and E are not played, tickets can be returned AT THE POINT OF PURCHASE ONLY for a full refund.
The Aeros are back at home Wednesday in a key Western Conference match-up with former Aeros' netminder Jason Elliott and the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks. Game time is set for 7:00 PM and great seats are still available through Ticketmaster or by calling the Aeros at 713/974-7825. Don't miss out on Derek Gustafson Bobble Head Doll night sponsored by Coca-Cola on Friday, when the Aeros host the Ducks in the final meeting of the regular season between the two teams. The puck drops at 7:30 PM, but be sure to get their early, as only the first 3,000 fans arriving to Compaq Center will receive this limited edition replica of the Aeros' netminder.
