Chuck-A-Skivvy Event During Saturday, January 21 Home Game to Benefit Locker 505 Student Clothing Bank

(Albuquerque, NN) The New Mexico Ice Wolves© today announced Chuck-A-Skivvy during the Saturday, January 21 home game against the Amarillo Wranglers at 6:30pm MT at Outpost Ice Arenas in Albuquerque. Fans can bring a package of new skivvys to throw onto the ice after the second intermission for a chance to win a signed NAHL jersey and donate to Locker 505 Clothing Bank. All donations will receive a skate with the players ticket following the Saturday game. Locker #505 is a non-profit organization that provides clothing to school-aged children in Albuquerque as well as Sandoval, Valencia and Torrance counties.

"We are thrilled about what Locker #505 does for our community and we are proud to team up with them for a unique fan experience that has a positive impact," said Jennifer Hubbard, co-owner of the NM Ice Wolves. "The Chuck-A-Skivvy will be a great opportunity for NM Ice Wolves fans to give back to the community in an exciting and fun way."

Locker #505 aims to outfit each student they can with the clothing they need to feel confident both in school and at home. One of the items Locker #505 needs the most help with is size 2T-3XL underwear. The NM Ice Wolves aim to lean into the generosity of the loyal fan base to help Locker #505 with their biggest need in providing underwear to the K-12 students in need. If interested in donating to Locker #505 their store hours are as follows:

Monday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Tuesday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Wednesday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Thursday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Friday: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The NM Ice Wolves are building on their record setting 2021-2022 season that saw the team earn its first ever NAHL South Division Playoff Championship title along with NAHL season honors in which NM Ice Wolves Head Coach Phil Fox was named 2021-2022 NAHL Coach of the Year and Team Owner Stan Hubbard was named 2021-2022 NAHL Executive of the Year. The NM Ice Wolves finished the regular season with a franchise record 38 wins followed by two thrilling playoff series wins and a berth in the Robertson Cup National Championships. In addition, ten NM Ice Wolves players made NCAA D1 and NCAA D3 commitments during the 2021-2022 season. Fox was also the head coach of the South Division team at the 2022 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament. The coaching and executive honors followed the team being named the NAHL South Division Organization of the Year with Forward Dillan Bentley named to the All-South Division Team. This was the second time in team history the NM Ice Wolves were named the South Division Organization of the Year honor after being given the honor in the team's inaugural season in 2019-2020.
