
Chris Edmondson, Bobby Blevins Take Weekly Can-Am Honors

DURHAM, NC - The official statistician of the Can-Am League, Pointstreak, has announced that Rockland Boulders OF Chris Edmonson (pictured) and RHP Bobby Blevins have been named this week's Pointstreak Batter and Pitcher of the Week.
Edmonson finished the week at a torrid clip, hitting .524 (11-for-21) over six games. The Rockland outfielder hit a home run, doubled three times and drove in five runs. But, the impressive week was not out of the ordinary for Edmonson. The LeMoyne College product leads the Can-Am League in RBI (28) and home runs (Tied with seven). He is also second in batting average (.424).
Blevins picked up his fourth win of the season with a complete-game performance on Saturday. The right-hander held New Jersey to one run on seven hits in the outing. He also struck out six and walked two, as Rockland won, 7-1. Blevins' victory puts him in a tie for first place on the Can-Am wins list with fellow Boulders pitcher Nick Serino and Dustin Crenshaw of Quebec. He is also sixth in the Can-Am League in ERA (3.35) and tied for third in strikeouts (27).
