Rockland 7, Quebec 6
The Rockland Boulders edged the Quebec Capitales with the help of DH Jaren Matthews' wheels. He was inserted to pinch run for DH Robert Kelly, who homered earlier in the game, in the top of the eighth with the score tied at 6. Before the next batter was retired, Matthews scored the go-ahead run on an error. Nine Boulders, including Matthews, registered a hit in the game and two of them had two hit games. Both RF Jerod Edmondson and 3B Stephen Cardullo had two-hit games. For the Capitales, CF Sebastien Boucher had a fantastic night at the plate as he was 4-for-4 with two homeruns that resulted in three RBI. Reliever Alex Kreis earned the win for recording four outs and giving up one run on one hit.
Fargo-Moorhead 8, Trois-Rivieres 0
The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks starter Alex Caldera pitched six scoreless innings and reliever Pete Levitt finished off the Trois-Rivieres Aigles with three more as the RedHawks won 8-0. Caldera scattered three hits and fanned five batters and Levitt allowed just one hit and struck out three. The win makes Caldera 4-2 on the season with a 3.40 ERA. The RedHawks took the lead in the third inning when RF Buddy Sosnoskie hit his third homerun of the season to lead off the inning. The RedHawks put up three more runs that inning and another three in the fourth to give the pitching staff all the run support it needed. Sosnoskie was 2-for-5 with a team-high two RBI. For the Aigles, RF Jeremy Nowak and C Emerson Frostad produced all of the offense as both of them had two hits.
