Chivas USA Midfielder Jose Manuel Rivera Undergoes Season-Ending Surgery

CARSON, Calif. (Friday, Oct. 4, 2013) - Chivas USA midfielder Jose Manuel Rivera underwent successful surgery today due to a fifth metatarsal fracture in his left foot suffered during training on Thursday. According to the postsurgical report, Rivera will be away from the soccer fields for eight to twelve weeks, thus ending his participation in Major League Soccer's 2013 season.
