This year Chivas USA have only one selection in the SuperDraft, but it is a big one. The Goats have the fifth overall pick, selecting after expansion Montreal, Vancouver, New England and Toronto in the first round.

The fifth overall pick has produced some big names in previous drafts. Most recently number five was goalkeeper Zac MacMath by the Philadelphia Union in 2011.
