CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, May 1, 2014) - Chivas USA celebrates its first-ever "Women Rock LA" night this Saturday night at the StubHub Center as part of Major League Soccer's Week 9 against Houston Dynamo. The Red-and-White organization will honor distinguished local reporters Elizabeth Espinosa, Lolita Lopez, Leyna Nguyen and Lu Parker for their community service during a halftime ceremony in the 7:30 p.m. (PT) contest.

"We are pleased to celebrate the vast contributions and massive sacrifices made by women in helping Los Angeles thrive," stated Chivas USA President Nelson Rodriguez. "It is an honor to recognize these particular great, women leaders in our community. Their pioneering spirit is matched only by their being exemplary role models."

In an effort to promote the event, Chivas USA have teamed up with the Good News Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by television journalists dedicated to making a positive and meaningful difference for those in need. Saturday's honorees are all active members of the Good News Foundation.
