Dayton, Ohio - Jazz Chisholm's five-hit, two homer night helped the Kane County Cougars (46-48, 11-14) snap a four-game losing streak with a 13-4 triumph over the Dayton Dragons (43-50, 12-13) on Monday night at Fifth Third Field.
After three runs the first two games of the series, the Cougars hung a four-spot in the first inning. Chisholm's RBI triple made it 1-0. Yoel Yanqui recorded an RBI single, Yan Sanchez an RBI ground out and Tim Susnara brought in the fourth run on a double. In the second, Chisholm hit a solo homer, making it 5-0 Cougars.
Dayton got on the board in the third on Raul Wallace's homer.
In the fourth, Gabriel Maciel drove in a run with a single. Chisholm belted his second homer of the night, this one a two-run blast to push the advantage to 8-1 Cougars.
Andy Sugilio singled home a run for the Dragons in the bottom of the fifth, but once again, the Cougars had a response. In the top of the sixth, Tim Susnara drove in two more for the Cougars with a single. The next batter, Eudy Ramos, banged one out to center for his sixth homer of the year, advancing the score to 12-2 Cougars.
