Chisenhall, Phelps and Fedroff are Carolina League All-Stars

Kinston, NC - Lonnie Chisenhall, Cord Phelps and Tim Fedroff are Carolina League End of Year All-Stars. The three K-Tribe selections are the second most of any team in the Carolina League this season. All three players are in their first full season of professional baseball.

Eastern North Carolina native Lonnie Chisenhall makes the list as a utility infielder, even after getting promoted to Double A Akron on August 8th. The K-Tribe third baseman hit .276 with 18 home runs and 79 RBI in 99 games for Kinston. When Chisenhall left the Carolina League, he was in the top five in six offensive categories including leading the league in RBI. Chisenhall was also a mid-season All-Star selection.

Second baseman Cord Phelps follows up his mid-season All-Star selection with an end of year nod. Phelps leads the Carolina League with 90 walks and is third in the CL in on-base percentage at .384. Phelps is hitting .257 on the season with four home runs and 52 RBI. Phelps also leads Carolina League second basemen with a .993 fielding percentage, having committed just four errors in 535 chances (113 games) this season.

Former UNC Tar Heel Tim Fedroff makes the All-Star list as a utility outfielder. Fedroff is currently ninth in the Carolina League with a .279 batting average. Fedroff is second in the CL with a .387 on-base percentage and has the longest consecutive on-base streak in the league this season at 35 games. Fedroff has four home runs and 38 RBI on the season.
