Green Bay Bullfrogs and Lakeshore Chinooks faced off for the fourth time of the season Tuesday at Joannes Stadium. Green Bay came in leading the season series two games to one.

After three pitching duels between the two teams, the bats were ready at Joannes Stadium for the fourth meeting. Aaron Machbitz (South Dakota State) began a string of RBI doubles for the Chinooks driving in Ryan Solberg (UW-Milwaukee) for a 1-0 lead after two innings.

After a scoreless third for Lakeshore, Green Bay struck back. Trevin Sonnier (Dallas Baptist) led the third off with a single, which was quickly followed by another single from Andrew Ely (Washington). With two on, Tripp Martin (Samford) came to the plate. It didn't take long before Martin turned on one and hit a three run home run to give the Bullfrogs a 3-1 lead after three innings.

However, it was all Chinooks from that point on. Lakeshore turned its bats around with two doubles, one scoring one run and another scoring two runs, in the fifth. The Chinooks dupliacted their hitting in the sixth inning with two more doubles that scored two more runs for a 6-3 lead after six innings.

The Chinooks were quiet in the seventh inning, but back at it in the eighth with the fifth RBI double of the night off the bat of Sawyer Polen (Kent State). Brant Valach (Eastern Illinois) drove in the final run of the inning to give Lakeshore an 8-3 lead after eight.

The scoring wasn't done for Lakeshore. The Chinooks came back in the ninth inning to score three more runs. The final two runs were driven in by Chris Manning (Valpraiso). Manning finished his night 4 for 5 with three RBI and a double.

Luke Lowery (Southern Mississippi) pitched the final six innings of the game to earn the win. The loss went to Bullfrogs starter Ben Graff (San Francisco). The Bullfrogs are now 8-13 on the season.

Green Bay will Play Madison tomorrow with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Come out to Joannes Stadium for Bullfrogs Collectible Player Poster Giveaway #2 Presented by Van Laanen and $1 Dog Days of Summer Wednesdays with Y100.
