Chihuahuas Turn Tables on Omaha 3-2

One night after losing on a tiebreaking solo home run in the eighth inning, the El Paso Chihuahuas beat the Omaha Storm Chasers 3-2 in the same fashion. Luis Urias lined a pitch over the right field fence in the top of the eighth to give El Paso its first win of the road trip.

Allen Craig had two early RBIs for the Chihuahuas on a solo homer in the second and a sacrifice fly in the fourth. Rosell Herrera's two-run homer in the fourth for Omaha tied the game. El Paso's Seth Simmons had his second consecutive strong start since arriving from Double-A San Antonio, pitching six innings and allowing two runs.

The Chihuahuas have scored first in their three most recent games. The Chihuahuas had baserunners in eight of their nine offensive innings Wednesday. El Paso is 7-3 all-time at Werner Park.
