One night after scoring 14 runs and winning, the El Paso Chihuahuas lost to the Salt Lake Bees 14-1 Tuesday night at Southwest University Park. It moved the Chihuahuas record to 3-2 all-time in home openers.

Former Chihuahua Jabari Blash hit a two-run home run in the second inning off Eric Lauer, one of five homers the Bees hit Tuesday. The game held a close 4-1 score through six innings before the Bees exploded for six runs in the seventh and four more in the eighth.

Javy Guerra went 2-for-4 with his team-leading sixth RBI. Infielder Diego Goris pitched a scoreless ninth inning, his first appearance on the mound since 2013 at Single-A Fort Wayne.
