Iowa Cubs News Release
NASHVILLE, TN - The Iowa Cubs' (1-4) struggles continued as they were blanked for the second-straight night by the Nashville Sounds (3-4) 6-0, Wednesday at First Tennessee Park. The last time Iowa was shut out in back-to-back games was Aug. 9-10, 2016 against Oklahoma City.

Out of the bullpen, Rob Zastryzny and Cory Mazzoni held off the Sounds through the late innings. Zastryzny twirled 2.0 frames, allowing no hits, two walks and three strikeouts. Mazzoni contributed 0.2 innings with two hits and one strikeout.
Iowa was held to five hits with Taylor Davis claiming two in a 2-for-3 game. Mike Freeman helped with a triple in the seventh, but couldn't get home.
