Eastlake, OH - The Peoria Chiefs rallied for three late runs and a 4-3 win over the Lake County Captains Sunday evening in Ohio, earning their first win of the season when trailing after seven innings. The win moves the Chiefs to 11-16 on the half and 49-47 overall as Peoria evened the series with one game left on Monday night.

Chiefs' starter Jeffry Antigua retuned from the disabled list and allowed just one hit with four strikeouts in two innings of work. He gave way to Su-Min Jung in the third inning and the Chiefs scored the game's first run in the fourth of Vidal Nuno. Justin Bour delivered a one out double to right and Jonathon Mota followed with a double of his own. Bour's run gave the Chiefs their first lead of the series after Saturday's 3-0 loss.

Lake County came back against Jung in the fourth and then used the long ball again to take the lead in the fifth. With two out in the fourth inning, Adam Abraham homered for the second night in a row. His solo shot to the opposite field tied the game 1-1 before Jung got out of the inning. A single by Kyle Smith with one out in the fifth set the stage for Jason Smit. The Australian native connected for a two-run homer to the bleachers in left for a 3-1 Captains lead.

Nuno cruised through the sixth and gave way to Jeremy Johnson for the seventh inning. Jae-Hoon Ha greeted Johnson with a triple to the right-field corner for his first hit of the roadtrip. Nelson Perez grounded to second as Ha scored to cut the Lake County lead to 3-2.

Matt Cerda drew a one out walk for the Chiefs to start the decisive eighth inning. DJ Fitzgerald moved Cerda to third with a hustle double to right to put two in scoring position. Bour came through with the clutch single, right back up the middle, to put the Chiefs back on top at 4-3.

Lake County loaded the bases in the bottom of the eighth as three straight batters reached with two outs. Ronny Morla relieved Larry Suarez and got out of the jam with a groundball to third base. Morla retired the Captains in order to preserve the one-run win.

Antigua allowed one hit and struck out four in two shutout innings for his first action since July 3. Jung allowed three runs, all on homers, while striking out seven over 3 2/3 innings. Suarez (1-3) picks up the win with two hits allowed and a walk in two shutout innings. Morla threw 1 1/3 innings and allowed two hits while striking out one.
