Chiefs Welcome Special Olympics, Charity Hockey Game this Weekend

Spokane, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs are excited to host another edition of the Les Schwab Tires Special Olympics Night on Sunday, February 4th. Special Olympics Athletes will be recognized on the benches during intermissions, interviewed on the radio broadcast, and honored during the ceremonial puck drop. Les Schwab Tires is generously providing tickets to athletes from throughout the state of Washington to enjoy the Chiefs game as Spokane faces Kelowna at 5:05 PM.

"Special Olympics Night is always a unique and remarkable event. The Chiefs are proud to honor incredible athletes from the state of Washington throughout the Spokane Chiefs game on Sunday," Chiefs Director of Marketing and Community Relations, Alex Costanzo, remarked. "We want to extend our thanks to Les Schwab Tires for generously providing tickets to Special Olympics of Washington and for being an active community partner in Spokane."

Also on Sunday is the very special Drop The Mitts for Shriners Children's Charity Hockey Game benefitting Shriners Children's Spokane. The doors to the arena will open at 2:30 PM with the Charity Game taking place from 3-4 PM. You must have a ticket to the Chiefs game to attend. Shriners Children's has a mission to provide the highest quality care to children with orthopedic, neuromuscular, colorectal and gastrointestinal conditions, burn injuries, craniofacial conditions, spinal cord injuries and other special healthcare needs within a compassionate, family-centered and collaborative care environment regardless of the family's ability to pay or insurance status.
