Spokane Chiefs News Release

The Spokane Chiefs have moved up to fifth in the Canadian Hockey League's Mosaik MasterCard Top 10 Rankings for Week 7 of the 2007-08 season. The Chiefs debuted in the rankings last week at number nine and earned five out of six possible points in three games last week with a pair of wins over the Seattle Thunderbirds and a shootout loss to the Vancouver Giants, the eighth ranked team in the CHL.

The ranking is the highest for Spokane since they were fourth on November 4th, 2003.

Spokane sits in first place in the U.S. Division with 29 points, three more than the sixth ranked Tri-City Americans. The Chiefs have not lost in regulation in 11 straight games (10 wins, one shootout loss) and are off to their best start through 18 games in franchise history, 13-2-1-2.
