Johnstown Chiefs News Release
Johnstown, PA- The Johnstown Chiefs have followed the lead of many professional sport teams across the nation, and introduced a "variable pricing," structure for Chiefs fans. The Johnstown Chiefs have now become the "Best Buy," in town. Today the Chiefs introduced several ticket packages in an effort to expand their existing fan base and allow more fans to come and see Johnstown Chiefs hockey for a discounted price.
"The Johnstown Chiefs have 2,000 to 2,500 die hard hockey fans. They attend as many games as possible. What the team needs to stay in operation is expand our fan base and introduce the exciting game of hockey to a new group of fans," said Chiefs Director of Public Relations Kevin McGeehan. "We want to make attending a Chiefs game more affordable to everyone," McGeehan added.
"All the ticket packages we are implementing are in an effort to expand our fan base. Johnstown residents looking for a "cheap night," out have the misconception that our ticket prices are too high, or that we do not offer any kind of discount. That is not true. By using these special ticket packages, fans never have to pay the full box office price," said Chiefs Director of Business Operations Jim Brazill.
- The "Family Fun Package," is 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 soft drinks, and 4 popcorns, for $44. This program will be available for all of the Chiefs remaining 24 home games. The "Family Fun Package," is a savings of over $17 off the regular ticket and concession prices.
- Every time the Chiefs play back to back home games this season, fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for both games at a discounted price. The "2 In 2 Special," allows a person to see the Chiefs on back to back nights and a savings of $6 off per ticket. The "2 In 2 Special," must be purchased on or before the night of the first game.
- Starting this Friday night and for all remaining regular season home games the Chiefs will be offering a "Cheap Seat Special." All seats in section 6 will be $6. There is limited seating available and the tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.
- The "Wacky Wednesday," special will be available when the Chiefs play on four Wednesday nights in February and March. Adult tickets will be sold for $7 and child tickets for $5. The prices are valid for any section of the arena.
- The Chiefs will continue to sell their ten ticket flex plans. The flex plans are good for ten tickets to be used in any combination, for Chiefs regular season home games. During the holiday season, the flex plans are also available in 5 ticket amounts.
- Also still in place, fans can save $1 off the regular box office prices if the buy their tickets by 5 p.m. the day before a game.
"There is only one place in this entire region, where 2,400 people can gather 36 times in 6 months to watch an event. That is the Cambria County War Memorial Arena and a Chiefs game. We want to increase that number of fans to 2,650-3,000 a game," Brazill added.
