Syracuse Mets News Release
Due to pending inclement weather, high heat index and the possibility of game postponement and delay, the Syracuse Chiefs, in partnership with Carmelo's Ink City, have announced changes to tonight's "Tattoo Night" promotion. The first 36 fans through the gates of NBT Bank Stadium for tonight's game who wish to still partake in the promotion will receive a certificate for the tattoo, which can be redeemed tonight at Carmelo's Ink City between 6 P.M. and 10 P.M.
"By doing this, we are trying to be proactive while looking out for the safety and health of our most dedicated fans," said Chiefs general manager Jason Smorol. "We still want to make sure that fans who want this tattoo can receive it tonight."
The first 36 fans interested in the tattoo to arrive at NBT Bank Stadium tonight will be given a sign-up form to complete from Chiefs staff in order to receive their tattoo certificate. The certificate will be honored tonight only at Carmelo's Ink City for one free Chiefs tattoo for those fans. Once fans arrive at Carmelo's Ink City, they will be asked to sign a waiver.
Carmelo's Ink City is located around the corner from NBT Bank Stadium, at 419 Hiawatha Boulevard. Both the Chiefs and Carmelo's Ink City have decided this is the best course of action to take given the weather's risk to our fans while ensuring the promotion takes place.
The tattoo slated for tonight is the main Chiefs "C" logo worn on the team's hats and jerseys. The design itself will be black. The artists from Carmelo's Ink City will be rendering one specific-sized design of this logo. The tattoo can be placed on the ankles, calves, arms, upper shoulder and ribs. Fans must be at least 18 years of age to receive the tattoo and cannot be intoxicated before receiving the tattoo, as a standard health and safety procedure.
Those fans that receive the tattoo will be given general-admission seating for life.
