The Chicago Wolves announced Wednesday that left wing Emerson Clark has signed a standard player contract (SPC) for the 2016-17 season.

Clark, 23, contributed 2 goals, 5 assists and 62 penalty minutes in the Wolves' final 29 games of the 2015-16 season while playing on a professional tryout contract (PTO). The Whitby, Ontario, native made his Chicago and American Hockey League debuts on Feb. 13 and scored his first AHL goal in his second game.

"His energy is contagious," said Wolves general manager Wendell Young. "He plays a hard game. He gets in on the forecheck. He's not afraid to drop the gloves and stick up for his teammates. He earned his contract."

Prior to joining the Wolves, the 5-foot-10, 200-pound Clark produced 15 goals, 11 assists and 96 penalty minutes in 32 games for the Tulsa Oilers (ECHL). He has notched 39 goals, 33 assists in 569 penalty minutes in 153 career ECHL games.

The Wolves have six guaranteed home dates for the 2016-17 season, which includes the organization's 23rd home opener on Saturday, Oct. 15, at Allstate Arena. It takes just $25 to claim your seat for next season. To learn more, visit ChicagoWolves.com or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
