Albany Devils Going Red for First Round

April 20, 2016 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Albany Devils News Release

ALBANY, NY - The Albany Devils will wear their red jerseys for the entire First Round of the Calder Cup Playoffs, which begins at 7 pm Friday against the Utica Comets at Times Union Center.

The Devils are encouraging their fans to follow suit and wear red throughout the best-of-five series. The initiative is part of the team's "United In Red" campaign, which was launched prior to the start of the Devils' historic season that included a franchise record 46 wins and 102 points.

The home team in the American Hockey League typically wears their light-colored or white uniforms at home. This is opposite of the guidelines the National Hockey League follows. Both the Devils and Comets have agreed to the uniform schedule.

Fans wishing to attend Games 1 and 2 on Friday and Saturday, respectively, can still participate in the Devils' Presale, which ends at 5 pm Wednesday. Presale tickets start at just $12 - a 33 percent savings off box office pricing. Patrons can also call the Devils' Executive Office at 518-4-DEVILS to learn how to secure complimentary First Round tickets and secure specific seat locations throughout the Calder Cup Playoffs.

Tickets are also available at the Times Union Center Box Office, at any Ticketmaster outlet, via charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 or online at ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices are $20 for end zone, $23 for corners, $26 for center ice and $30 for along the glass.
