Despite being out-shot by a 43-26 margin, the Steel captured a 7-5 victory over the Green Bay Gamblers on Saturday at Resch Center, the first action of the preseason for Chicago. Seven different players scored for the Steel.
Lukas Gustafsson and Jackson Blake each registered multi-point efforts with a goal and an assist apiece.
Erik Middendorf tallied a goal, the first of his preseason.
Jack Harvey added his first marker of the exhibition season.
Josh Doan registered a goal.
Quinn Finley scored his first goal of the 2020 preseason slate.
Joe Miller registered an empty-net marker, his first goal in the exhibition season.
Ian Moore, Luc Laylin, Ryan Ufko and Adam Robbins each earned a helper in the win.
Netminder Nick Haas turned away 38 Gambler shots to earn the win.
