
Chicago Sky and Salon Selectives Offer Promotion at Jewel Stores

CHICAGO - The WNBA Chicago Sky, Jewel-Osco and Salon Selectives Hair Care Products today announced a joint "Girls' Night Out" Sweepstakes. Four winners will receive a Salon Selectives hair styling and two VIP tickets to the Sky's Girls' Night Out game on Friday, July 18, where their new hairstyles will be revealed on-court.
The women's hair will be styled by professional Salon Selectives stylists during part of the game, with fans seeing them before the styling and after. They will also receive a Salon Selectives gift basket, with the specific products the stylists use on their hair. Salon Selectives and Jewel-Osco are presenting sponsors of the Girls' Night Out game. The Sky will take on Eastern Conference rivals Connecticut, with tip-off at 7:30 at UIC Pavilion. Salon Selectives will have a booth on the concourse before and during the game, providing stylist consultations for fans.
The sweepstakes will be promoted at Chicagoland Jewel stores, May 22- June 30, with Salon Selectives floor displays, shelf talkers, in-store radio and an ad in Jewel's "Spotlight" circular. Checkout coupons will offer $5 off Sky tickets with the purchase of Salon Selectives products and a sweepstakes entry.

The Sky is one of seven independently-owned teams in the WNBA, the world's longest- running women's professional sports league. The Sky plays the 2008 season home opener tonight against the Sacramento Monarchs at 7:00pm at the UIC Pavilion. The Sky celebrated its inaugural season in 2006, and finished a successful sophomore season with a 14-20 record and guard Armintie Price named WNBA Rookie of the Year.
