Chicago Stars FC News Release
CHICAGO, IL. - The following is an update from the Chicago Red Stars head coach search committee:
"The Chicago Red Stars' search for a new head coach will continue into the National Women's Soccer League preseason. While we have spoken with multiple highly qualified coaches, we have yet to find the candidate that our players deserve. As a result, Rade Tanaskovic will continue in the role of acting head coach with assistant coaches, Julianne Sitch and Fabrice Gautrat in support. Gautrat is officially joining our technical staff after two years advising the club. With their expertise, and the leadership of our veteran players, we are confident that our team will be ready to compete for a championship." The Red Stars' search committee includes:
Eleven current and former Red Stars players
Three assistant coaches
A sports psychologist
Club's Chief Business Officer
Members of the club's ownership
