
Chicago Fire FC Acquires up to $200,000 in General Allocation Money from New England Revolution for Matt Polster's MLS Rights

CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC announced today that the Club has acquired $100,000 in 2021 General Allocation Money from the New England Revolution in exchange for Chicago's right of first refusal for defender/midfielder Matt Polster. Additionally, the Fire will receive up to $100,000 in future GAM if Polster meets certain performance-based metrics with the Revolution.
Polster was originally drafted by the Fire as the No. 7 overall pick in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft. He spent four seasons with the Club, tallying 82 appearances (73 starts), three goals and 10 assists, before joining Scottish Premiership side Rangers FC in 2019.
